Chilled, this is a crisp, fast, easy vinaigrette-based recipe that uses Gerbs Chia & Hemp Seed Mix. Perfect to accompany virtually anything and no worries about mayonnaise spoilage in Summer.
INSTRUCTIONS
In a small bowl, whisk together measured vinegar, mustard, honey (or any sweetener) and olive oil and set aside but taste it. Now’s the time to add more of this or that. In a separate bowl, mix together your THINLY sliced (NOT thick because thick really doesn’t convey the slaw taste so take that extra moment and go thin) green or red cabbage, carrot, and celery seed (I add a dash of caraway seeds but that is a Rye bread kind of flavor and not everyone likes it) and about a tablespoon (or more) of Gerbs Chia & Hemp Seed Mix
Next, pour a small amount of the vinaigrette dressing on the cabbage mixture and mix together until combined. Taste. You may want more or less but don’t drench it. Season with Kosher salt & pepper, sprinkle more Gerbs Seed Mix on top and CHILL before serving. Crisp, fast, deelish.
This recipe is not allergen free. It contains the following allergen: mustard. If you or a loved one is living with a mustard allergy, please omit the grainy mustard from this recipe. As always, please consult with your allergist and/or registered dietitian on how to manage your specific allergy/allergies before trying new recipes.
