Health Benefits of Strawberries
The Strawberry is called ‘the queen of fruits’ in Asian countries because it’s packed with health benefits. These are bright red, juicy, and sweet originated in Europe in the 18th century. Strawberries are usually consumed both in fresh and dried form. Here are some of their impressive benefits and simple ways to incorporate strawberries into meals, snacks, and treats.
- Strawberries help burn stored fat
The red coloring contains anthocyanins, which stimulate the burning of stored fat. When a group of animals was fed a high-fat diet along with anthocyanins, they gained 24 percent less weight than the animals eating the high-fat diet without added anthocyanins. (The Journal of Agriculture and Food Chemistry) - Dried strawberries boosts short term memory
The anthocyanins boost short term memory by 100 percent in eight weeks. (The Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry). - Promotes bone health
Strawberries contain potassium, vitamin K and magnesium which are important for bone health. Just one cup of strawberries provides nearly a quarter of the daily goal for manganese, a mineral that helps produce collagen and promote bone health.. - Dried strawberries help prevent esophageal cancer
Regularly eating berries, including strawberries, has been linked to reduced risk of cancers, including esophageal cancer and lung cancer. Studies show freeze-dried strawberry powder may help prevent human esophageal cancer. - Helps fight Inflammation
Strawberries have been shown to help reduce pain and markers of inflammation and oxidative stress—an imbalance between the production of cell-damaging free radicals and the body’s ability to counter their harmful effects. - Digestive health with dried strawberries
The fiber in strawberries (about 3 grams per cup) helps maintain good digestive health by supporting the growth of healthy gut bacteria, which are tied to immunity, anti-inflammation, and mood. - Help Reduce High Blood Pressure
Due to their high potassium content, strawberries might provide benefits for people who have a raised risk of high blood pressure by helping to offset the effects of sodium in the body. Low potassium intake is just as important a risk factor for high blood pressure as high sodium intake. Strawberries are a sweet, filling way to help people consume more potassium in their diet.

STORAGE OF GERBS
We strongly recommend storing in an airtight container in a cool, dark environment like a pantry or kitchen cabinet, away from direct exposure to sunlight or excessive heat like an oven. The amount of times you open the container and let in the harmful effects of oxygen will only increase the likelihood of rancidity; thus we encourage you to not empty more than 1 pound of product at a time. Gerbs can be frozen too, but we do not recommend it, because the cell structures will change as the product thaws out!

Amazing I ordered not knowing what this product would be like, however I was not disappointed. The taste was fresh, extremely flavorful and, I can't wait to bake with them. Being allergen free added to my decision on purchasing.

Yum Delicious! Great dried strawberries. Hard to find, especially nut-free.

ScoopScoopScoopScoop I like the taste, but the texture is a bit synthetic chewy. Not sure if that is solely a 'these strawberries' thing or an 'any strawberries' thing as these are the only dried strawberries I've ever had.

Adult Dried Strawberries It's so hard to find good dried strawberries these days, especially if you're a grown-up seeking something other than sugary candy crap for a snack! The ones offered by Gerbs have a natural flavor to them, with more of a strawberry essence and fruit finish than sugary sting and candy distraction. It might take some getting used to if you've been in candy land for a while, but Gerbs strawberries will usher in a whole new phase in your snacking life if you let them.

Outstanding!$ These are absolutely delicious, the favorite dried fruit of all our family. They ARE very expensive, but they are outstanding. I bake them into cakes and cookies, and everyone loves them. We eat Gerbs products since they are allergen free. No one has had a gluten reaction to anything.
