Product Description
MORE PROTEIN THAN CHEESE! The ancient grain Amaranth is one of the most protein-rich of any plant-based food, rivaling that of animal-based foods like cheese. It is also naturally gluten-free. Amaranth releases starch during cooking resulting in a gelatinous consistency with each grain creating a subtle, caviar-like “pop” when you eat it. Makes a terrific nutritious breakfast food. Scroll down for cooking instructions.
INGREDIENTS: Amaranth Grain
COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: USA
BASIC COOKING INSTRUCTIONS: To make a breakfast cereal style dish, combine 1-1/2 cups liquid (broth/water/apple juice) and 1/2 cup Amaranth in a small saucepan. STORAGE
If properly stored, our Products will stay fresh so that you can enjoy them for many months. We strongly recommend storing in an airtight (dark colored/opaque) container in a cool, dark environment like a pantry or kitchen cabinet, away from direct exposure to sunlight or excessive heat like an oven. The amount of times you open the container and let in the harmful effects of oxygen will only increase the likelihood of rancidity.
