NON GMO CRANBERRIES, BLUEBERRIES & RAISINS
Gerbs Dried Fruits do not contain any harmful cancer-causing preservatives. They are unsulphured/SO2 Free, Potassium Sorbate Free, Sodium Nitrate/Nitrate Free and Sodium Benzoate Free. We strongly recommend however that you always read nutritional panels and ingredients. Some of our Dried Fruits have pure cane sugar, and although we are always looking at sourcing our fruits with no sugar added, it is far different than using than harmful chemicals.
RAW NON GMO SUNFLOWER KERNELS
Sunflower seeds contribute to your daily intake of vitamin E, a family of fat-soluble nutrients. Vitamin E helps protect your cells against free radicals, chemicals that oxidize and damage your proteins, cell membranes and DNA. This vitamin also promotes healthy circulation by helping you make red blood cells. An ounce of hulled sunflower seeds contains 10 milligrams of vitamin E, two-thirds of your recommended daily intake of the nutrient, according to the Office of Dietary Supplements.
RAW PUMPKIN KERNELS
Are high in zinc, making them a natural protector against osteoporosis. Low intake of zinc is linked to higher rates of osteoporosis. In a study of almost 400 men (age from 45-92) published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition they found a correlation between low dietary intake of zinc, low blood levels of the trace mineral and osteoporosis at the hip and spine.
RAW FLAX SEEDS
•Omega-3 essential fatty acids, “good” fats that have been shown to have heart-healthy effects.
•Lignans, which have both plant estrogen and antioxidant qualities. Flax seed contains 75 to 800 times more lignans than other plant foods.
•Fiber. Flax seedS contain both the soluble and insoluble types.
RAW CHIA SEEDS
Chia seeds are rich in polyunsaturated fats, especially Omega-3 fatty acids. Chia seeds’ lipid profile is composed of 60 percent Omega-3s, making them one of the richest plant-based sources of these fatty acids — specifically, of alpha-linolenic acid, or ALA. The Omega-3s in chia seeds can help reduce inflammation, enhance cognitive performance and reduce high cholesterol.
RAW HEMP KERNELS
Fiber in food like hemp seeds improves bowel function by helping prevent constipation. The fiber also increases feelings of fullness so you eat less.
